Here are some of the questions we are most often asked by our guests. If you cannot find the answer you need, please feel free to get in touch and we will be happy to help.
Q: Do Honey Bee Camping pitches have electric hook-up?
A: Yes, we have 5 pitches with both electric hook-up and water points. We can also accommodate a further 10 tent pitches without electric hook-up, with access to the other campsite facilities.
Q: Is electric included in the pitch fee?
A: No. Many of our visitors choose to camp off-grid and use onboard solar panels or similar, so electric hook-up is charged separately at £5 per night for a maximum of 19 units per day, additional units will be billed separately.
Q: What toilet / shower facilities do you have?
A: We have basic toilet and shower facilities in an adjacent building for campers to use. The shower is metered and costs £1 for 3 minutes.
Q: Am I allowed an awning?
A: Yes. The site is all grass, with pitches big enough for your car and awning.
Q: Do you allow campervans and motorhomes?
A: Yes, we welcome campervans and motorhomes. The site is grass, and we also have space for tents.
Q: What time can I arrive, and what time do I need to leave?
A: Arrivals are from 1pm, and pitches must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
Q: Can I bring my dog with me?
A: Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome per pitch, at £5 per dog per night. Dogs must be kept under close control and on a lead at all times. There is a path directly to the beach just outside the site entrance where you can exercise your dog. Please pick up after your dog at all times. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bull breeds.
Q: Are children allowed?
A: Yes, children are very welcome. We are a family-friendly campsite and ask all guests to help keep the site safe, relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
Q: Can I bring my own BBQ?
A: Yes, BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised at least 18 inches off the ground to avoid burning the grass.
Q: Is there an onsite shop?
A: Not yet. An onsite shop is planned for 2027 or 2028. In the meantime, we keep a small supply of camping essentials, such as chemical toilet liquid and toilet rolls, so please ask if you need anything.
Q: Is there a quiet time onsite?
A: Yes. We ask that all noise is kept to a minimum between 10pm and 8am, with no music during these times, so that everyone can enjoy a peaceful stay.
Q: Is the location quiet?
A: We are next to a quiet road and a working farm. Both are generally quiet, although at certain times of year, such as harvest, you may notice some farm activity and noise.
Q: Do you have Wi-Fi onsite?
A: Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite. Please ask for details.
Q: Can I choose my pitch?
A: We will always do our best to accommodate pitch requests, although specific pitches cannot always be guaranteed.
